Boating Class Information

PUBLIC EDUCATION

The Eastern Shores Flotilla is very active in the education of the boating population. The most popular course taught is Boat America. This is the classroom (seminar) version of our popular online boating course. Boat America provides students the knowledge needed to obtain a boat license or safety certification in many states. Many boat insurance companies will offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete Boat America.

Boat America is taught once a month, on Saturdays, February through August.  For more information, please see the BOATING COURSES listing on our website. 

In addition to the scheduled Boat America class, our instructors are available to present programs on general boating safety to your church group, school, or civic organizations.
