2013 United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla of The Year

Welcome to the online home of Flotilla 3-2 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, one of the most active and exciting flotillas in the Auxiliary.  Please use our links and other online content to learn about the Auxiliary, Boating Safety, Hurricane Preparedness, Vessel Safety Checks, and many other important maritime topics. Flotilla 3-2 is actively involved in the very busy boating community of Baldwin County and surrounding areas.  Please let us help bring safety to your boating fun in the Sailboat Bay area.  We will inspect your vessel for free, attend your boating events to give out free information, show you how to properly navigate or wear your life vest, or
tell you how you can become an active participant in the mission of Homeland Security! The Coast Guard Auxiliary works with the United States Coast Guard and Florida Wildlife Commission to promote safe boating and the protection of our water ways and resources.

The USCG Auxiliary was created by Congress in 1939 as an all volunteer citizen group which would support the US Coast Guard. Our missions include teaching public boating safety classes, public outreach, assisting with search and rescue missions, and participation in America's Waterway Watch program.  In addition we help protect the environment of our coastal regions.

Foley Flotilla 3-2 is very proud to be part of a network of 30,000+ all volunteer lifesavers.  Serving Baldwin County and its surrounding waterways Flotilla 3-2 conducts many missions in public boating safety and public outreach through both boating classes and appearances with "Coastie" the safety boat. Flotilla members are trained in boating skills and seamanship so they can conduct patrols for a variety of mission purposes. Missions may include search and rescue, monitoring aids to navigation, water sampling and waterway watch.

We invite anyone interested in learning more about the Flotilla and our missions to attend our meetings.  If interested in coming to a meeting please contact one of the Flotilla's officers.   Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Baldwin County Central Annex County Commissioner, 22251 Palmer St., Robertsdale, AL 36567 (Commissioner's conference room to the right of auditorium) promptly at 1230 (12:30 pm) hour. Contact information is located on the Flotilla Staff Page. We're proud to have been the recipients of the "Most Outstanding Flotilla" in District 8, Coastal Region including all of New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, southern half of Alabama, the Florida Panhandle and the southwestern corner of Georgia.  We invite you to become a part of our exciting and effective all volunteer lifesaving team.
