Welcome to the exciting world of the Vessel Examination Program

VE photoPreventative Search and Rescue is the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s #1 Mission! Preventative SAR is Saving a life, Saving the day!.

RBS (Recreational Boating Safety) is the core program that educates a boat owner, skipper, crew, and passenger to become aware of safety points that can Save a life, Save a day! The state of Florida reported  the most VE’s and Public Education classes for 2013. The boating fatality rate reduced. So far this year there have been 3 FL fatalities. We can help to change this growing statistic right now and we always seek new auxiliary members and support.

USCG Auxiliary Vessel Safety Examiners and Program Visitors are the tips of our boating safety programs. When a Vessel Examiner inspects a private vessel they not only look for concerns, they discuss and educate the importance, for a safe boating experience.

USCG Auxiliary Program Visitors work with our marine related business partners to promote boating safely programs. The program visitor will develop boating and ramp missions. The Program Visitor is critical for setting up events and alerting business partners to Public Education class dates.

If you are reading this and are not a USCG Auxiliarist, consider joining with us. We will welcome your support and train you to be part of the USCG PSAR Team.

If you are a USCG Auxiliary Vessel Examiner and/or a Program Visitor we thank you for your support to make our boating experience always enjoyable.

Save a life, Save the day!
