“The ICS framework is designed to bring order to a response. The Coast Guard is the federally designated premiere maritime first responder and has provided the ICS expertise of its personnel during national emergency responses.”
- The Defense Media Network, March 20, 2023

The Auxiliary plays a pivotal role in supporting the U.S. Coast Guard's emergency management objectives. From preparation and response to recovery and mitigation of diverse crises, we stand ready. This commitment is manifested through our meticulous training programs, staunch support of our deployed personnel, and the constant evolution of our training and response materials.

From the Incident Commander (IC) or Area Commander at the helm to the intricate hierarchy including Command Staff, General Staff, Section Chiefs & Unit Leaders, each position is crucial.
