Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Course in St. Augustine, Florida


Flotilla 14-7 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary located in St. Augustine, Florida, presents About Boating Safely, a course for both beginners and experienced boaters that will give the participant the knowledge to obtain The Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card.

Florida law requires that all persons born on or after January 1, 1988, when operating a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more, must have in their possession a Florida Boating Safety Education Identification Card.

All of our USCG Auxiliary About Boating Safely courses are offered on Saturdays at the St. Augustine Regional Airport Conference Center (NEFRA-CC); 4730 Casa Cola Way, St Augustine starting at 7:45 AM and lasting until 5:00 PM. Classes for 2017 remaining are: Nov 4. We reserve the right to cancel the class if there are less than four students in attendance, at the instructor's discretion. Call in early to book your class, we do not overbook. We will call in advance of the date whenever possible in the event of a cancellation or to reschedule. We can accommodate groups-families and friends- who book classes together. Payments are accepted using Check, or PayPal. You can contact the instructor for further information. 

Students must register prior to the class on line. See the local ABS Course tab on left menu bar for dates, time and the instructor whose contacts are shown next to the class you are requesting. The instructor will get in touch with you by email or phone to confirm your attendance. Please leave a good contact number or email so we can confirm. 

Please note that when offered, the "Suddenly In Command" and "How To Read Navigational Charts" Courses are ½ day each and given sequentially on the same day.
