   In accordance with Reference a., and consistent with the current diversity policies of the Commandant of the Coast Guard, the District Diversity Advisor will: 
   1. Assist the unit elected leader in ensuring that all diversity policies and procedures established by the Commandant are in effect within the unit. 
   2. Maintain a knowledge base of current diversity and diversity management initiatives through reading and research. 
   3. Conduct unit seminars, workshops, forms and panel discussions to educate the membership on diversity and its effect on the organization. 
   4. As time and opportunity permit, prepare articles on diversity matters and issues for the unit publications.
   5. Utilize the results of surveys and exit interviews to determine diversity issues and intervention strategies that effect the satisfaction of the membership. 
   6. Be part of the unit Recruiting Team, to support diversity focus in recruiting activities.

    7. Assist Flotilla Commanders to qualify and apply for the National Commodore’s 3-Star Award of Excellence for Managing Diversity. 
   8. Report unit Diversity Activities through the chain of communication and leadership.

   9.  Promote diversity whenever possible.
