About Boating Safety (ABS)

The Basic Boating Program includes:

• Know your boat
• Navigating the waterways
• The legal requirements of boating
• Enjoying water sports with your boat
• Before you get underway
• Operating your vessel safely
• Boating emergencies - what to do

$35.00 per person and $45 per couple

-Take it as a family - Safety is for EVERYONE -

This program is recognized and approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. Successful completion will make you eligible for the Florida Boating Certificate (required by Florida Law to operate a vessel with 10 or more horsepower or if your were born on or after January 1, 1988) and may earn a discount on your boat insurance.

Non-boat owners are encouraged to take this program to become familiar with the boating experience.
