Welcome to Flotilla 79 Tampa.
Celebrating 75 Years of Service 

 

What Can You Do as a Member of Flotilla 79?

  • Become a member of the Homeland Security Team, performing Safety Patrols of upper Tampa Bay, Security Patrols, Search and Rescues, and Harbor Patrols
  • Become a Boat Crew member or Coxswain of an Auxiliary Vessel
  • Perform Radio Watch for Flotilla 79 or the U.S. Coast Guard
  • Conduct recreational Vessel Courtesy Inspections
  • Participate in the Marine Safety and Environmental Protection programs at US Coast Guard Prevention Dept, Tampa
  • Teach Boating Safety/Skills programs
  • Volunteer your administrative and communication skills as a Staff Officer

Emergency Management Training

Most of the training available to members is available after the application is approved but there are opportunities to get started. The Emergency Management Institute offers training that is required for Auxiliary programs and is open to the public. Once the training is completed please forward the certificate by e-mail to webmaster1711@gmail.com
