Here is the link to the BSX Policy on Uniform Inspections

Here is the official uniform page that has everything you wanted to know (and more) about Auxiliary uniforms: https://wow.uscgaux.info/content.php?unit=H-DEPT&category=auxiliary-uniforms

Below is a "cheat sheet" of sorts for what is applicable:

Alternate Work Uniform consists of a polo shirt and either the ODU shorts or DARK NAVY 5.11 pants along with either boots or black shoes with black socks.

POLO SHIRTS:  https://signexplosion.com/collections/uscg-auxilliary

MENS TACTICAL 5.11 Pants:  https://www.511tactical.com/taclite-pro-pants.html  Select DARK NAVY

WOMENS TACTICAL 5.11  https://www.511tactical.com/taclite-pro-pant-womens.html  Select DARK NAVY

Black belt (ODU belt can be used: https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/shop-by-brand/vanguard/n-belt-male-blk-cotton-xl-seabee-black-buckle-tip.html or this one: https://www.galls.com/raine-military-riggers-belt?PMSRCH=riggers%20belt

"Authorized footwear are boots (unbloused), boat shoes in approved colors, and black walking shoes. Sneakers, tennis shoes are not permitted." Many of us use our ODU boots (see below in the ODU section).

Operational Dress Uniform (ODUs) are the uniforms that you will wear next most.

The main components of this uniform are the blouse, trousers, and boots.  I would recommend that you try on blouses and trousers before ordering, and I (Cliff) have a variety of sizes at my house between my stuff and what I have in the locker that you can try on to get a sense of sizes.

____Blouses are in 2” increments (42, 44, 46, 48, etc) and are Short, Regular, Long, X-Long, and sometimes XX-Long.

____Trousers are somewhat adjustable at the waist allowing a range of sizes.  For waist, there is extra small (<27”), small (27.5-31”), medium (31.5-35”), Large (35.5-39”), XL (39.5-43”), XXL (43.5-47”), and XXL (>47”).  Each waist size has a corresponding inseam size…essentially short, regular, long, extra long and in some sizes there’s XX Long and extra short.  Again, I recommend you try some on before ordering.’  Here is the chart:

You can get blouses and ODU trousers at https://shopcgx.com/.  Register using your name, email, and Aux member number…I tested this with Marilyn and it worked immediately and well.
____Boots:  You can buy the superboots at https://shopcgx.com/ as well. Make sure that whatever boots you buy are similar AND that they have a composite safety toe!!!  I use the Bates Men's Tactical Sport 2 Tall Zip Comp Toe Boots usually at the CGX they are under $100 but you can find them online used as well.
____CG Blue Crew Neck T-Shirt:  I would recommend ordering these from Jamey McKinley who has the breathable ones.  The cotton ones are kind of tough here in FL.  You can also get poly print ones at shopcgx.com:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/cg-auxiliary/uscg-aux-scrn-prnt-ss-poly.html
____Cover:  Auxiliary Baseball Cap you can get at shopcgx.com as well
____Name tape for above right pocket:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/shop-by-brand/vanguard/individual-name-tape-uscg-odu-rip-stop.html   They know what your last name is so the assumption is that if you order one, it shows up with your correct last name.  :-)
____USCG Auxiliary Tape: you’ll need one of these for above your left pocket:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/cg-auxiliary/accessories/name-tag-tape/odu-tape-aux.html
____Rank for collar:  also shopcgx:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/shop-by-brand/vanguard/cg-aux-clr-dev-ripstop-member-slvr-blue-shield-crossed-anch.html
____Web belt and Buckle for belt:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/shop-by-brand/vanguard/n-belt-male-blk-cotton-xl-seabee-black-buckle-tip.html
____Black socks:  any work
____Trouser Blousers:  https://shopcgx.com/uniforms/accessories/garters-boot-bands/auxiliary-pocket-button-24l-clone.html   Those are green but you never see them so it really doesn’t matter.  Why the CG exchange carries green and not blue?  No idea, but it is what it is.  You can probably get blue in-person but again, it really doesn’t matter since you’ll never see them on the outside of the uniform anyway.
How do you blouse your ODUs?  Here’s a good video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cubXA4gvCY

How do you roll your sleeves (optional, you can keep sleeves down but I prefer mine up):  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSl8tdiRqeE

**Pro Tip:  When you get the nametag and USCG Auxiliary tapes put on, instead of cutting them to size, fold them in and under and sew them so they don’t fray.

TROPICAL BLUE is the more formal uniform for us. All items can be purchased at the CG Exchange website and more information can be found here: https://wow.uscgaux.info/content.php?unit=054-25-01&category=tropical-blue
