The Auxiliary has 21,000+ members in 50 states, as well as, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa and Guam. The Coast Guard Auxiliary operates in any mission as directed by the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard or Secretary of Homeland Security. The Auxiliary's internal operating levels are broken down into four organizational levels: Flotilla, Division, District and National.
