Supporting Coast Guard Units
Special Support is non-routine mission requiring extra planning and is often a short notice event
On 15 January, the flotilla was requested to support the cutter Block Island which was the subject of a Fox News story. We quickly assembled a crew, got the required permissions for out of season cold weather work and on 18 January supported the Coast Guard mission. The story aired on 13 February using footage of the Block Island short from our Auxiliary facility:
