Welcome to the Division 20, District 5SR Web Site


Division 054-20 supports the general public and boaters that operate along the southeastern North Carolina coast along Pamlico, Bogue and Stump Sounds and in the rivers that feed them.

Division 20 consists of six local Flotillas serving the cities of Jacksonville, Morehead City, Oriental, New Bern, Washington, and Swansboro and surrounding areas.

Safety Note: Kidde recalls marine and home fire extinguishers with plastic handles due to failure to discharge and nozzle detachment.

   To learn more about our different flotillas, click on their name below

  • Flotilla 20-1 New River at Jacksonville - Supports boaters operating in the New River area. It also supports the Coast Guard mission at the Joint Mission Training Center on Camp Lejeune. This flotilla attracts most members from the Jacksonville, Richlands, Sneads Ferry area.
  • Flotilla 20-2 Morehead City - Supports boaters operating around the northern end of Bogue Banks. Members also support operations at Coast Guard Station- Ft. Macon.This flotilla attracts its members, primarily from the Morehead City, Beaufort, and adjacent areas
  • Flotilla 20-3 Oriental - Supports boaters operating around Oriental and the Pamlico Sound. This flotilla attracts most members from the towns around the Pamlico Sound near Oriental.
  • Flotilla 20-4 New Bern  - Supports boaters operating in the vicinity of the upper Neuse and the Trent River. This flotilla attracts most of its members from the New Bern area.
  • Flotilla 20-6 Washington - Supports boaters operating in the Pamlico River from Greenville to the Intracoastal Waterway on the Pamlico Sound. This flotilla attracts most of its members from the Washington and Greenville areas.
  • Flotilla 20-10 Swansboro - Supports boaters operating around the southern end of Bogue Banks. Members also support the mission of Coast Guard Station-Emerald Isle. This flotilla attracts most of its members from the Swansboro and Emerald Isle areas.

Division 20 Awards

Division 20 is a leader in the Fifth Southern District which consists of 15 Division and 83 local Flotillas. Here's our ranking:

  • 1st Place out of 15 divisions in the district for total number of Vessel Safety Checks

  • 2nd Place out of 15 divisions in the district for total hours spent on Public Affairs

  • 3rd Place out of 15 divisions in the district for total hours spent on Search and Rescue

  • 3rd Place out of 15 divisions in the district for total hours spent on Coast Guard Operational Support

  • 4th Place out of 15 divisions in the district for total hours spent on Marine Safety

  • 11 District Meritorious Facility Operations Awards: 2 Silver Decal Awards (at least 65 hours of air or surface patrols or at least 65 hours radio communications) and 9 Bronze Decal Awards (at least 30 hours of air or surface patrols or at least 30 hours of radio communications)
