Boat Crew Training

The "Auxiliary Boat Crew Qualification Guide" is your task sign-off record and also tells you where to look (what reference material to consult) for the information required to complete the tasks.

These three documents: Auxiliary Operations Policy Manual 167798.3, Auxiliary Boat Crew Training Manual M16794.51A, and Boat Crew Seamanship Manual M16114.5C are reference manuals that contain information required to complete the tasks listed in the qualification guide.

An additional document is: Sector NC Auxiliary Surface Operations S.O.P. 16798.3. This document as far as I can find is not posted on any SERVER. The list on page 22 shows the current Crew Candidate PreUnderway Tasks that are required in Sector NC before being allowed on an Auxiliary Facility. Note that in this list are additional tasks that are not listed in the "Fort Macon Tasks." The term "Fort Macon Tasks" should be avoided in the future and the term "Crew Candidate PreUnderway Tasks" be used instead. Also note a "TYPO" on the "Crew Candidate PreUnderway Tasks" list. Task 2-10 should read "Use of Emergency Signal Mirror."

The following document is the task sign-off record for COXSWAIN.
