 FLOTILLA 12-03, DISTRICT 1SR

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is America's Volunteer Maritime Guardians promoting boating safety, security and stewardship in port and at sea since 1939. The Coast Guard Auxiliary assigned duties are force multipliers for the active duty and reserve component of the Coast Guard.

GLEN COVE FLOTILLA 12-03

The Glen Cove Flotilla 12-03 of Coast Guard Auxiliary was established in 1941 to assist the Coast Guard in programs such as Public Education, Vessel Safety Checks, Safety Patrols, Search and Rescue, Maritime Safety and Security, and Environmental Protection.  

Members are provided opportunities for advanced training in such skills as seamanship,navigation, communications, weather,  vessel examination, boat crew, coxswain, and emergency preparedness. The training that members undergo provides the skills necessary to serve as the active duty Coast Guard force multiplier as well as the local and boating communities. Our Flotilla has the unique experience of working and training hand in hand with the City of Glen Cove Harbor Patrol. Flotilla 12-03 builds a strong sense of Fellowship to bind together the volunteers that make up our Flotilla.

Come participate in the fellowship as a member of a team of people with diverse backgrounds and skills. Take part in our current activities: Boating Safety though Public Education, Emergency Preparedness Training, Vessel Safety Checks, Maritime Skill Training.and Marine Domain Awareness.
