Flotilla 5-2 is always looking for motivated individuals who want to help educate the community on boating safety. If you are interested in joining our Flotilla, familiarize yourself with the eligibility requirements and follow the guidelines written below.

 

Applicants are more than welcome to attend our monthly Flotilla meetings to see if this program is for them. Information on where these meetings are held and when they occur can be found here.

 

Eligibility requirements:

  • Membership for the Coast Guard Auxiliary is open to all citizens of the United States and its territories.
  • Individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older (there is no mandatory maximum age).

What our Flotilla offers:     

  • Program visitor
  • Vessel examiner
  • Boat crew program
  • Becoming an instructor

 

How to apply

Applicants can begin their application process by filling out the forms listed below:

In addition to completing these forms, applicants must also present the following documentation:

  • Birth certificate or passport
  • Driver’s license
  • A copy of the boat safety course (if taken already)
