National Safe Boating Week Featured on Al Roker Show

FC Val Ramsberger appeared on the Weather Channel's "Wake up with Al" show along with LCDR Bill Walsh, Commanding Officer of Station NY.  Al Roker and Stepahnie Abrams discussed safe boating practices at the start of National Safe Boating Week.  Al Roker was also made an Honorary Commodore in the CG Auxiliary in recognition of his support for the US Coast Guard.

Leon Zois Inducted into the French Legion of Honor

Leon Zois has received the Legion of Honor Medal presented by France for his solidarity he showed towards the county of France and its people as a Private First Class, Company C, 291st Infrantry, participating in the Liberation of Normandy, the Liberation of Northern France, the Battle of the Buldge and the Battle of the Rhineland.
