Flotilla Meetings: First Thursday of each month, 6:00 p.m. (members in uniform, guests casual attire)
Who Are We: The Coast Guard Auxiliary is part of team Coast Guard which consists of active duty, reserves, auxiliary, and civilians. The Auxiliary is the uniformed, volunteer, part of Team Coast Guard. Auxiliarists, with proper training and certification, may take part in U.S. Coast Guard missions except for direct law enforcement and direct military missions (we do not carry weapons).
We are volunteers who dedicate our time and resources to help the Coast Guard achieve its missions ranging from emergency response to environmental protection to public education. The Auxiliary is primarily tasked with recreational boating safety, but you will find Auxiliary members working side by side our active duty and civilian counterparts to as a USCG force multiplier.

Membership Requirements:
- Completion of all required paperwork (governmental entity under Homeland Security)
- Background check and citizenship verification
- Completion of Boating Skills and Seamanship Class (see USCG AUX Flotilla 7-2 St. Pete website for class listing)
- Annual dues payment (currently $85)
- Uniforms (expect to pay around $250 for working uniforms)
- Active participation as a flotilla member (there are numerous ways to serve in the Auxiliary, some of which are on the water, some in the air, and some of which are land based – all of which require some degree of training)
- Attendance and participation in monthly meetings and Flotilla activities
- On-going training and development
