Marketing our public education courses and seminars is vital to the success of our RBS missions. Without effective marketing our courses we cannot get students. Without students we cannot generate income for our flotillas. Without income, flotillas cannot successfully fund their RBS programs. In addition to delivering a wide variety of education products to the public, flotillas need to generate income to fund more effective public affairs and program visitation programs, as well as successful public education programs. Flotillas have only two sources of income, and one of those continues to shrink - membership dues. We want to help grow the other source - income from public education while keeping our waterways safer. Below you will find links to resources you can use to help expand the marketing, and thus the income, of your public education courses.

In conversations with Public Education Staff Officers around the country, the National PE Staff has often heard that the material promoting Auxiliary PE was both more impactful and more suitable for promoting on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. They often noted that other organizations offering boating safety courses simply had marketing that was more impactful. We heard you and decided to do something.

We have developed what we hope will be the first of many templates and advertising aids that FSOs-PE around the Auxiliary can use to market their local PE courses to the boating public. Two samples, one version aimed at Spanish-speaking recreational boaters, accompany this email. We will be posting more on the E Directorate website shortly as well as adding other items to aid your marketing efforts.

The following posters are editable PDF files. Download the poster, open with Adobe Acrobat or other PDF reader. Edit the contact information to your flotilla's information. Print or post the edited poster.
