Operation Restore the Boat Activity for 1 June 2025
Wed, 28 May 25
Good Day Shipmates
We need everyone to assist us Sunday 1 June 2025 at Curtis Bay.
We will have the assistance of the Fire Department at the base under the command of Petty Officer 2nd Class Nico Cornejo who will be assisting us with removing the remaining decking so that we can get to the stringers of the boat.
The base will be without power and water for much of the day and they may need to respond to alarms, but we are going to try and do a cookout and will have water and sodas at the event.
The weather is supposed to be 72 and Uniform of the day will be BDU or ADU.
By the way this is just an FYI for all the Uniform is really a request of the Chief of the Fire Station and is just so that there is an Auxiliary Presence on the location.
This activity however will involve stripping equipment of the boat, and we will need people on the ground as well as on the boat to help organize and account and inventory what is coming off the boat so that we have a detailed list of items.
However, this will be a big weekend for this activity, and we will need as many hands as we can get.
This is also an official unit activity, so you do get credit for the time spent on it.
The activity will begin at 1100 hours with FSO- FC David Hyde arriving on site.
ACTIVITIES FOR 18 MAY 2025
