The Coast Guard Boating Safety application has allowed smart phone users on the Apple and Android mobile operating system platforms to input a profile, email a float plan, review safety equipment requirements, and obtain emergency assistance, as well as other features. Unfortunately, the application is no longer available in the application stores since updates have not been possible.

The Coast Guard is exploring the future of the application and hopes to put out additional information in the next 90 days. In the meantime, Auxiliarists should advise anyone who is interested in the application that it is not available, and users who have the application on their smart phones should be advised to delete it until further notice.
