Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of USCG Auxiliary 8-5 Brigantine. To become a member you must complete the following process. If during this process you have any questions please contact the Flotilla HR Officer and or the Flotilla Commander.
1. You must attend 3 meetings.
2. During one of these meetings you must interview with the Flotilla HR Officer or the Flotilla Commander.
3. Log onto www.cgaux.org. Under DIRECTORATES click on HUMAN RESOURCES.
4. On the left side of the page click on NEW MEMBER CLASSES.
5 Under PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS review the following:
- Application Checklist
- Prospective Member Brochure
- New Member Student Study Guide
- New Member Reference Guide
- New Member Passport
6. Under PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS complete the following:
- CGAA Consent to Membership
- Enrollment Application
- New Member On-Line Exam (at top of page)
7. On the left side of the page click on NEW MEMBER INFO. On this page you will find information on the training classes you will need to complete during the beginning of your membership. You will also find information on programs you may wish to become involved with and advanced training opportunities.
This may seem like a long process but it will be worth your time. What we do is important our mission is to work hand in hand with the US Coast Guard to provide safety, security and education to the public.
