CG_Ideas@Work is the Coast Guard's Innovation crowdsourcing platform, providing a means for leadership to gather solutions from our talented workforce -Active, Reserve, Civilian and Auxiliary, and a place for our members to share their great ideas across the service. CG_Ideas@Work is a forum for our members to discuss, collaborate, and innovate, without the traditional barriers of rate, rank, community, or geography. CG_Ideas@Work is available to all members of the Coast Guard workforce - Active, Reserve, Civilian, and Auxiliary.

Whether you are a subject matter expert, curious observer, idea generator, or end-user, CG_Ideas@Work is a powerful resource to help you shape the organization's future.

What You Need to Do
All users will need to register at https://cg-ideasatwork.ideascalegov.com/ 

All users will receive an email shortly to reset their password from the new CG_Ideas@Work site (if you do not receive the email within 1-2 business days, please check your spam/trash folder).NOTE: This email will be sent from a "[Non-DoD Source] [IdeaScale]" CG_Ideas@Work email address - please do not report this email address to CG Cyber Security.

Click the link and enter the verification code provided in the email. Reset your account with a new password (requirements: 12 characters long, 1 special character, 1 number, 1 uppercase, and 1 lowercase letters).Once the new password form is completed, click next. Your password has been reset! Click the “IdeaScale” logo in the top-left corner to be redirected to the main CG_Ideas@Work site.

If you register with or add a cgauxnet.us account to the site and list it as the primary email to receive notices and updates, you will receive updates on campaigns open to Auxiliary members once you participate in the campaign and have your notification settings turned on.

Things to Remember
Campaigns and Ideas: All campaigns and ideas, active and archived, have been moved to the new site. Campaigns active prior to the migration will remain active in the new site. All comments, votes, attachments, and data elements associated with each campaign and idea are present and accurate in the new site, including historical comments, votes, and record of idea submissions.

Emails: The new site will continue to send automatic email notifications in a variety of scenarios (e.g., another user replies to a comment or idea you submitted).If you would like to remove email notifications, go to your profile settings, click “Notifications,” and make the desired changes. Please do not report these emails as spam. If you think you should be receiving emails and are not, check your spam folder and profile settings before reaching out to the CG Innovation Team.

Profile Settings: If you had specific privacy settings (e.g., you elected to post ideas/comments anonymously), you will need to update your profile to reflect your preferences – (Profile à Profile Information à scroll down to Community Identities and check “Hidden Identity” next to “CG_Ideas@Work” à click “Save Changes)Avatar: All users will need to re-assign their avatars to their profile, as necessary.
