Our flotilla is very active in recreational boat safety training. The most popular course taught is Boat America ($45 w/materials). The classroom (seminar) setting provides students the best in-person instruction to gain boat operations and water safety knowledge.

The course satisfies the certification necessary to obtain the vessel endorsement required to legally operate a boat in Alabama waters. Also, the certificate of completion is accepted by insurers offering discounts to boaters with proof of safety training.

Boat America is taught once a month, on Saturdays, February through August. 

In addition to the scheduled Boat America class, our instructors are available to present other programs on general boating safety.
