We are proud to announce that John Weimer has been sworn in as Flotilla Staff Officer for Finance, and Joseph Muscatelli has been sworn in as Flotilla Staff Officer for Communications for Flotilla 12-08 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary!
Their dedication and service to the mission of the Auxiliary will be invaluable as they take on these important roles. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them success in their new positions!
Crossing the Bar , Daniel Exler
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear fellow Auxiliary Coast Guard member, Daniel Exler (#5008607) from Division 10. Daniel dedicated his life to serving and protecting our communities, embodying the true spirit of selflessness and bravery that defines the Coast Guard.
Daniel's commitment and camaraderie have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was not only a trusted teammate but also a friend and mentor to many. His contributions to the Auxiliary and to his fellow service members will never be forgotten.
Members of Flotilla 12-8 came together to show their unwavering support for Daniel’s family during this incredibly difficult time. The funeral service was held in Warwick, NY, where we honored Daniel’s life and service. FSO Jeremy Davis was part of the Honor Guard, giving a final salute to our fallen brother.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Daniel’s family, friends, and our fellow Coast Guard members as we navigate this loss. Let us honor his memory by continuing the work he so passionately believed in.
Rest in peace, Daniel. You will be greatly missed
