By accessing the various websites you will find many have links whereby you can find literature regarding boating regulations, licensing and other information relative to boating on their waterways. Many have mandatory State boater education, including some with age limits. The only handbooks that are available usually have the State rules & regulations but no ordering information other than for the students taking the boating classes. There are very few brochures available from these States for the boating public (unless a phone call request can be made by the PV to a specific department).

This website offers information on Educational Resources, Aquatic Science, Fishing Information, Boating Information, Publications and Organizations. This site also has links to the various States and an opportunity to a person to enter their e-mail and receive periodic updates about additions to their web directory.

This Boating Education website of the PWIA offers a map of the United States whereby a visitor can “click” on the State and learn more about the regulations for that State. A visitor can also download a version of the map.
