Sanctuary Protection Area Patrol Program(SpaPat)

Our newest mission is to provide support to Station Islamorada and NOAA for protection of our valuable marine resources.  Along with Flotilla 1304(Ocean Reef), Flotilla 1308  will make a weekly patrol of the Sanctuary Protection Areas(SPA) in the Upper Keys.  These 11 specially designated areas are the jewels of the John Pennekamp state park.  Our mission will be to observe activity in each SPA, hand out literature to boaters, and report violations to the Station.
