Water N' Kids Water Safety Classes

Water N' Kids course is designed to enhance safety, skills, and knowledge for students ages 8 to 10 years (third and fourth grade). It teaches basic water safety topics to young students, including swimming safety, boating, rip currents, life jackets, safe environment, among other topics.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be teaching these classes on the following dates and locations

 

Thursday May 8th, 2025, at the Rockville Memorial Library located at 21 Maryland Ave, Suite 310, Rockville, Maryland 20850 Class begins 5:00pm - 6:00pm

 Saturday May 10th, 2025, at the Potomac Library located at 10101 Glenolden drive, Potomac, Maryland 20854 Class begins 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Saturday May 17th, 2025, Germantown Library located at 19840 Century Blvd, Germantown, Maryland 20874 Class begins 11:00am - 12:00pm

 Wednesday May 20th, 2025, Gaithersburg Library located at 18330 Montgomery Village Ave. Gaithersburg, Maryland 20879 Class begins 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Thursday May 22nd, 2025, Bethesda Maryland, located at the Connie Morella Library located at 7400 Arlington Rd, Bethesda, Maryland 20814 Class begins at 4:00pm -5:00 pm

Saturday May 24th, 2025, Olney Laytonsville Rd, Olney, Maryland 20832 Class begins at 11:00 am - 12:00 PM

 

 

National Safe Boating Week

United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla will hold several National Safe Boating Week Events.

All are welcome to attend, and we invite you to do so.

PE/PA events at Fort Detrick

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 054-24-08 will be conducting a PA/PE boating or paddle craft safety class at Fort Detrick US Army post.

You will need a pass or a cac card to attend,

Classes will be on the following.

14 May 2025 at 0800 Hours and exact location is TBD.

 17 July 2025 and time is to be determined at this time.

24-08 conducts our second annual American Sign Language-assisted Boating Safety Course with live ASL interpreters, Virtual vias Zoom Friday March 28, 2025 from 7-9 pm, Saturday March 29, 2025 from 12-4:30 pm, Sunday March 30, 2025 from 12-4 pm
