Important Announcement – Membership Dues & Accountability

Effective immediately and until further notice, membership dues will no longer be accepted via PayPal or by check through regular mail. From now on, dues will only be accepted in person before or after our monthly Flotilla meetings.

Why This Change?

We are facing two critical issues:
  • 45% of member contact information in AUXDATA is outdated, with wrong addresses or disconnected phone numbers.
  • At our last meeting—where we were scheduled to elect a new Vice Flotilla Commander, we could not hold the election due to lack of quorum, despite multiple reminders.
I have confirmed with Division leadership that this policy change is allowed. The purpose is to:

  • Hold members accountable
  • Update and verify contact information
  • Encourage active participation

When you joined the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, you took an oath to support and serve. Right now, 70% of our flotilla is not actively participating. That must change if we want to maintain a strong and effective unit.

Important Deadlines

You will have only the September and October meetings to make your dues payment in person. On October 16th, disenrollment letters will be mailed to members who have not paid.

A Call to Reflect

Please remember why you joined the Auxiliary. If now is not the right time for you to serve—due to personal reasons, or if you no longer feel called to this mission, I respectfully ask you to consider a voluntary disenrollment. You can still support the Auxiliary by donating to the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Association without the obligation to attend meetings or participate in programs.

Questions or Concerns?

Thank you for your understanding and commitment to our mission.
