Welcome to the Flotilla 7-2, District 1NR Web Site
and Welcome Aboard! Please explore our website to see what our flotilla does and what opportunities the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary has to offer you. Flotilla 7-2 is the oldest of the five flotillas serving the Rhode Island area. Our flotilla has a long, rich history which continues to be written to this day. Our efforts continue in keeping with the same pride, dedication, commitment and tradition as those members who have served before us.
Serving as our 2017 leadership, both Keith and I are privileged and proud to be part of this outstanding flotilla. Our flotilla meets regularly on the second Wednesday of each month in East Providence. Interested members of the public are invited to attend at no obligation and take the opportunity to meet our members. If you wish to receive more information about the Auxiliary, this flotilla or have someone contact you, please click here. Please click here for driving directions. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer, uniformed component of and force multiplier for the U.S. Coast Guard. It is a diverse and dedicated group of volunteers who have offered their time, talent and skills to assist the U.S. Coast Guard with its various missions. These missions include Search and Rescue, Education, Marine Safety, Maritime Domain Awareness and direct augmentation support (operational and administrative) to our local Coast Guard units. Our primary focus is the promotion of recreational boating and paddle sport safety! We accomplished this through the presentation of our Boating Safety Courses, conducting FREE Vessel Safety Checks and providing FREE boating safety literature to the public at various commercial venues. Working alongside our U.S. Coast Guard shipmates on Narragansett Bay, we are helping to promote good stewardship of our maritime environment, serving our local boating community and our Nation. Auxiliarists continuously rise to meet today's challenges and the demands of our missions. We make a difference and you can too!
